A United Airlines flight returned safely to San Francisco International Airport Thursday after blowing a tire during departure, the FAA said. United Flight 1189, a Boeing 737-800 bound for Los Cabos International Airport in Mexico, landed back at SFO at about 11:45 a.m., according to the FAA. The plane was carrying 165 passengers and eight crew members, United said. United said it arranged for a different plane to take the passengers to Los Cabos later Thursday afternoon.
