The Lagos State Chapter of the Photojournalists Association of Nigeria on Thursday elected new executive members, including Bolaji Olasunkanmi as Chairman, to steer the affairs of the association for the next three years. The election was conducted at the secretariat of the Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Alausa, Ikeja. He declared Olasunkanmi of The Daily Monitor as Chairman and Paul Timothy, a freelance photojournalist, as Vice Chairman, unopposed. Furthermore, Olasunkanmi stated that he will prioritise member welfare, ensure total accountability, and build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders. “We will also work closely with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council for the mutual benefit of all members,” he said.
