As I observe the current escalating political anger, I have noticed the increased use of the words “socialism” and “communism.” I’ve spent some time thinking and reading about these two words. The behavior of some of our politicians — coupled with aggressive moves and comments by Russia — were very effective at placing fear in the consciousness of our nation. The accusation that our country practices socialistic behavior is much closer to truth. It’s important for all of us to be aware of this as our nation considers replacing our current failing healthcare system with a “Medicare for all” plan.
