UK baroque leader dies at 78 RIPnorman lebrecht August 07, 2026The death is reported of Judy Tarling, founder of Brighton Baroque and leader of the much-recorded Parley of Instruments. She also played in the Academy of Ancient Music, the Hanover Band and the London Handel Orchestra, after an early stint in the City o Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. She wrote five books on baroque string playing.
