Electrical control systems between the substation and SWR’s electrical control centre in Eastleigh were also hit. A month on, from Monday this week, changes were made to trains travelling to and from Bournemouth, Poole and Weymouth. “We are still able to run trains by using alternative power supplies, but for safety reasons, the amount of power must be restricted.
