The six-part BBC drama ‘Sutherland’ is set between Scotland and outer space. Supervising location manager, Barry Laird explained that the scene filmed at FVC will be “pivotal”. “It was a good facility to deal with, and good people to deal with too. All of the FVC campuses have been on my database for a couple of years now and it has been nice to bring something to them.” But Mr Laird hopes that seeing a production like Sutherland taking place locally will help his industry seem more accessible.
