As another round of major layoffs at Scripps has left local stations reeling, and one former employee isn't holding back. Scripps CEO Adam Symson continues to treat local staff like disposable pawns on a chessboard, executing another wave of job cuts across the company's stations. In a boilerplate statement, Symson claimed the company’s mission remains unchanged, to "create connection through trusted news and information"a line that feels increasingly hollow to the staff left behind and the communities losing local coverage. Former KJRH (Tulsa) meteorologist Mike Collier didn't mince words when reacting to the news. “Praying for my friends at KJRH,” Collier added.
