Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has called on the Methodist Church of Nigeria to remain steadfast in promoting justice, good governance and accountability in the country. Obi made the appeal in a post shared on his X account on Thursday after attending the opening of the 50th/15th Biennial Conference of the Methodist Church of Nigeria in Ibadan. He said he joined Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and members of the Methodist Church from across Nigeria and beyond at the event. Obi also appreciated the Methodist Church for inviting him to the conference and appealed to members to keep praying for Nigeria and its leaders. “I thank the Methodist Church for its invitation and ask that they continue to remember our nation in their prayers.
