Green Day have launched a 24/7 YouTube stream, which will offer around the clock footage from across the band’s history. GDTV (Green Day TV) launched yesterday (Thursday August 6) and features 24/7 footage of the band, including music videos and live performances. This will see him handpick a number of emerging acts who he wants to spotlight, as well as include comedy sketches. The new launch of GDTV comes as the punk trio will soon release their comedy movie Nimrods, loosely inspired by their early touring days. “You have to be delusional to be in a band,” frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said of the film.
