The National Institute of Water Resources (Indrhi) has begun work to adapt and clear the riverbed of the Dajabón (Masacre) River at its mouth leading into the Saladillo Lagoon, N Digital reports. The intervention aims to restore the natural course of the tributary, protect local agricultural production, and restore water flow to this critical ecosystem.Juan Carlos Nova Méndez, director of Operations and Irrigation System Conservation at Indrhi, explained that the project is being executed in coordination with the Ministry of Environment.
