Hunter08/07/26A Coralville man was arrested over the weekend after an alleged assault on his wife. Police identified 29-year-old Andrew Cooper of 10th Street as the suspect in a domestic incident Sunday just before 2:40am. According to court records, Cooper put his arm around the woman’s neck, impeding her ability to breathe and leaving red marks on her neck. She briefly spoke with a dispatcher before Cooper reportedly took the phone from her and hung up the call. He was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Assault causing Injury, Domestic Abuse Assault impeding Airflow, and Obstruction of Emergency Communications.
