Synology DiskStation neo+ Cuts ECC Memory to Lower Entry Cost
[]

Synology has introduced DiskStation neo+, a lower-cost derivative of its established Plus-series NAS hardware.
Rather than redesigning the complete platform, Synology replaces the 4GB or 8GB ECC memory supplied with comparable Plus models with one 4GB non-ECC DDR4 SO-DIMM.
DS1825neo+, DS1525neo+ and DS925neo+ use AMD’s Ryzen V1500B.
The smaller DS725neo+ uses a Ryzen R1600.
