The Maharashtra government will take the necessary steps to speed up the proposed MICE project at Hatani and Valti in Buldhana district’s Chikhli taluka, along with the plan to develop ‘Jijau Srushti’ at Sindkhed Raja in keeping with the historical significance of Rajmata Jijau’s birthplace, said the Minister of Tourism, Shambhuraj Desai. The Collector of Buldhana was directed to hand over the land required for the proposed MICE project at Hatani and Valti to the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation. Officials were also asked to promptly prepare the project’s master plan, architectural design, detailed project report (DPR), and cost estimates. The meeting also discussed at length the proposed ‘Jijau Srushti’, a tribute site planned for the all-round development of Rajmata Jijau’s birthplace at Sindkhed Raja. Once a final decision is taken, all tourism department work related to the project — planning, detailed design, fund allocation, and phase-wise execution — will be carried out in coordination with Makrand Aaba Patil, Guardian Minister, Buldhana District.
