Motorcyclist critically injured in Wadsworth crash, sheriff's office saysWADSWORTH, Ill. (WLS) -- A motorcyclist was critically injured in a north suburban crash on Friday afternoon, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies responded to the crash on Route 173, east of Route 41, in Wadsworth around 1:10 p.m.A preliminary investigation indicates that a 38-year-old Wisconsin woman was driving a Nissan Rogue eastbound on Route 173. She then made a left turn into Van Patton Woods Forest Preserve, directly in the path of a 68-year-old Wadsworth man, who was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Route 173, the sheriff's office said. His left leg was severed from the impact, and he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Team is investigating.
