Up to 2000 jobs could be created as Plaid Cymru backs offshore wind farm

The new Welsh Government has approved its first major offshore wind project through the 200 MW Llŷr Wind Farm off the Pembrokeshire coast.
The second stage Llŷr 2, will test a different offshore wind platform technology using a further 10 platforms, also with a 100 MW capacity.
The test and demonstration offshore floating wind project is being developed by Cierco Energy in the Celtic Sea, off the coast of Pembrokeshire.
Plaid Cymru cabinet minister for enterprise, connectivity and energy Adam Price said, “Major offshore wind projects such as this important scheme can be catalysts for economic growth and prosperity.
First power generation from Llŷr Wind Farm is targeted for 2031.
