In her letter, Mrs Badenoch accused Farage of treating Clacton as a political tool rather than a community in need of genuine representation. She described the by-election as "needless" and urged the people of Clacton to question who truly benefits from it. Mrs Badenoch added: "Is it really being held for the people of Clacton, or is it being held for Nigel Farage? Mrs Badenoch said the Conservative Party remains committed to Clacton and will return with a "serious candidate" when a full contest is called. Clacton residents will take to the polls onThursday to decide from a list of 34 candidates who takes the seat in parilament.
