By elevating providers on the basis of their race instead of their competency and qualifications, the safety of patients is compromised. So there's no reason why patients in the NHS would balk at being treated by non-white staff. Not wanting people who are culturally, educationally, and linguistically deficient to you in charge of your life isn’t racist, it’s common sense survival instinct. Asking for a minority doctor isn't considered racist, but asking for a white doctor is. The Left tells us patients do better when the doctor looks like them, then attacks half the population for wanting a doctor that ... looks like them.
