The chance for showers and storms continues to increase heading into this afternoon. A cold front is swiftly approaching from the northwest, with soupier air streaming northward ahead of it, and into our neck of the woods. These storm chances arrive as early as mid-morning, and will increase through early afternoon, exiting by evening. This will keep the severe weather risk lower, with just a 1 out of 5 risk across the viewing area. Skies are expected to clear, with cooler temperatures, lower humidity and lighter winds arriving to kick off the weekend.
