Nurses at Newcastle’s Mater Hospital are feeling “positive” change is coming, following the release of a parliamentary inquiry’s findings, about its many issues. But they admit, there’s “a long road ahead” – predicting it will be “at least a couple of years” before the major healthcare facility is again fit for purpose.
