Steris plans to move its existing operations in St. Louis and Plymouth, Minnesota, to the site in Sanford, North Carolina, southwest of the Raleigh-Durham area. North Carolina’s Economic Investment Committee awarded the project a J ob Development Investment Grant earlier this week that allows reimbursement of up to $3.2 million over 12 years. Steris said it chose North Carolina to be its central manufacturing hub for its “availability of key technical knowledge and skills in a growing region.” The new site will include advanced manufacturing, research and development, lab, warehouse and distribution operations, according to a news release.
