We are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was the victim of a serious assault in Yeovil. The incident is believed to have taken place between 11.50pm on Saturday 25 July and 12.05am on Sunday 26 July. The victim was walking from the St Michael’s Avenue area towards Hawthorn Road when he was assaulted by an unknown offender. The incident is thought to have taken place somewhere along the route, which includes St John’s Road, St Michael’s Avenue and Northbrook Road. Officers have carried out extensive enquiries, including house-to-house visits and CCTV enquiries, and these remain ongoing.
