Residents near a village in South Queensferry have been urged to keep windows and doors shut after an oil tanker caught fire. Emergency services were called to an oil tanker well alight on a farm near Dalmeny at around 7.36am on Friday. Anyone living near the area has been cautioned to keep windows and doors closed due to high levels of smoke. Fife Jammer Locations via SuppliedA Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.36am on Friday, August 7, to reports of an oil tanker well alight near Dalmeny, South Queensferry. “We are advising people to avoid the area at this time, and anyone affected by smoke should keep windows and doors closed.”
