A bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and Sheel Nagu said it was not inclined to interfere with the high court order. Senior advocate Gopal Sankarnarayanan, appearing for the MP, submitted that she has a legal right under law to appear virtually before the police. Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya of the high court had directed Moitra to appear before the investigating officer on August 14 for questioning in the case. Justice Bhattacharyya had directed Moitra to cooperate with the probe and comply with police notices by appearing before the investigating officer. The court directed that the matter will be heard again on October 1.
