In a refreshing departure from the usual release strategy, the makers of Anakapalli are putting local audiences first before taking the film to the rest of the world. Starring Vikram Sahidev and directed by Khagesh Thammineni, the film was originally slated for a worldwide release on August 7. However, the team has now decided to screen the film first for audiences in Anakapalli—the very place that inspired its story and setting. They even recommended dubbing the film into Tamil and exploring a wider South Indian release. Adding to the momentum, Anakapalli has also attracted interest from OTT platforms, prompting the makers to reassess their release plans.
