MORE than £123m is expected to be invested in schools, roads, housing and community facilities across Falkirk during the coming year. The package combines Falkirk Council’s £68.3m general capital programme with a separate £55.2m housing investment programme for 2026/27. Councillors will receive an update later this month on investment programme covering schools, roads, community facilities and major infrastructure projects. Amanda Templeman, Falkirk Council’s chief finance officer, said: “This update shows that significant investment continues to be planned across the Falkirk area.” Members of Falkirk Council’s executive will be asked to note the updated financial position when they meet on 20 August.
