Webuild and FCC have signed a 2.7 billion EUR (4.32 billion CAD) contract to deliver a major underground section of Toronto’s Ontario Line metro project. The contract covers the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations (PTUS) package and has been awarded by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario to a joint venture led by Webuild, which holds a 50% stake, alongside FCC. © WebuildThe PTUS package includes the construction of two twin tunnels, each approximately three kilometres long, two underground stations and a connection to the Toronto Transit Commission’s Line 2 subway. The link is intended to integrate the future Ontario Line with Toronto’s existing public transport network. The PTUS package forms part of the 15.6-kilometre Ontario Line, which will include 15 stations and more than 40 connections to Toronto’s existing public transport network.
