For the upcoming interprovincial rugby series Munster head coach Matt Brown has selected seven Clare players to the senior squad and has included three others in the Munster development squad, meaning ten Clare players are part of his provincial set-up. Up the N18 in Galway the Connacht side have 2 Clare players in their squad for the Interprovincial series. In the development squads too we see three more Clare players being given an opportunity to grow and develop their rugby talents. Ennis players Aisling Heapes and Abi Kelly are joined in the Munster development cohort by Scariff’s Eliza Wiley Murphy. Of the 12 Clare players in the Munster and Connacht sides nine (ten if we count Maeve Óg’s early years with Ballina-Killaloe!)
