More infoThousands of households across the country are still without power as local authorities begin surveying the damage and cleaning up after Storm Amy.
However, Cork seems to have escaped the worst of the storm, with the brunt of the damage recorded across the West, North West, North East, and Midlands.
For the time being, the focus is on restoring utilities to affected areas and clearing roads blocked by fallen trees or other debris.
The group is also working to provide all necessary assistance to the people impacted by the storm.
