The Clacton MP's comments were not about the marina on the River Weaver, but about Royal Parks, where he said migrants are catching and eating the waterfowl to LBC's Nick Ferrari. Posts circulating on Facebook suggest images show migrants stealing a swan to eat from Winsford Marina in Cheshire. "If you believe some of the stories circulating, the swans are being stolen so that they can be eaten. "There is absolutely no evidence that this is the case, and anybody commenting or sharing such stories is doing nothing more than harming the Winsford community."
