Representatives of Kentucky State University (KSU) appeared before the General Assembly’s Interim Joint Appropriations and Revenue Committee on Wednesday, updating lawmakers on curriculum and infrastructure improvements. KSU President Koffi C. Akakpo told the panel that after three years in the position, he is still learning more about issues on campus. “Over the past three years, we have seen the number of students graduating from Kentucky State University has increased every year,” Dailey said. By integrating liberal arts throughout the curriculum, Kentucky State University helps students build essential skills such as critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, professionalism, and adaptability. KSU is Kentucky’s only public Historically Black College and University (HBCU) and the only 1890 land grant institution.
