Halladay, who finished second in NL Cy Young voting that year, reached 15 wins through 24 starts and 115 team games. Sánchez this year reached 15 wins through 24 starts and 116 team games. The left-hander now leads all of MLB in pitcher wins. It’s only the fourth time this season Sánchez did not pitch into the sixth inning and first since he allowed nine runs against the Kansas City Royals on July 6.
