Beef competitions on Thursday, July 30 at the Chaffee County Fair and Rodeo highlighted both the hard work of local 4-H exhibitors and the county’s cattle industry. Exhibitors competed in the annual 4-H Beef Show before returning to the arena later that day for the Chaffee County Cattlemen Beef Show. Throughout the day, exhibitors led market cattle through the show ring while judges evaluated both the animals and the exhibitors’ showmanship skills. Lane Brandt earned the 4-H Grand Champion Market Beef, while Brier Burns received the 4-H Reserve Grand Champion Market Beef.
