“Completing the Licensed Vocational Nursing-to-RN and Paramedic-to-RN transition programs requires resilience, discipline, and a passion for serving others,” said Dr. Karla Ross, Associate Degree Nursing Program Director. “The faculty in Blinn’s Associate Degree Nursing Program truly set this experience apart. Many of our instructors continue to practice as registered nurses, so they brought current, real-world knowledge into every lesson,” Arney said. The LVN-Transition pathway is offered at the Blinn-Brenham and Texas A&M-RELLIS campuses, while the Paramedic-to-RN Transition option is available at Texas A&M-RELLIS. Members of this summer’s class have accepted positions at Acara Hospice-College Station, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Brenham, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-College Station, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Temple, CHI St. Joseph Health Regional Hospital-Bryan, CHI St. Joseph Rehabilitation Hospital (Encompass Health affiliate), HCA Houston Healthcare-Tomball, and Methodist Hospital-San Antonio to name a few.
