EPHRAIM — About 200 people gathered Monday as Snow College broke ground on the $42 million Mark R. and LeAnn W. Stoddard Social Sciences Building. The 45,000-square-foot, two-story facility will house the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, serving four academic departments and the many students who take general education courses in those fields. President Stacee McIff said the project has been years in the making, while Dean Michael Brenchley said the building will be a place where “ideas can be challenged and perspectives can be expanded.” Longtime Snow College supporters Mark and LeAnn Stoddard of Nephi helped make the project possible through their generosity and service to the college.
