A small business grants program is offering $20,000 to Australian small businesses, including venues in the hospitality sector, writes Laura Box. The Amex Shop Small Grants program, in partnership with Mainstreet Australia, is offering eligible small businesses the opportunity to apply for grants. American Express Australia managing director Corrina Davison says the company is aiming to provide up to $2 million in Shop Small Grant funding. “Every time someone shops small, they’re backing the passion, hard work and ambition of a local business owner.” This announcement is accompanied by the release of the Amex Shop Small Destination Index – research informed by more than 4000 consumers.
