The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) cabinet has approved the withdrawal of the May 9 case related to violence in Mardan.
This case involves incidents of stone-pelting and firing that injured protesters, passersby, and police officers.
Following this decision, the KP government transferred the public prosecutor handling the case.
He submitted a letter from the Additional Home Secretary in court to initiate the case withdrawal process.
The case involves several accused, including prominent figures like Zahid Shah Toru and MNA Mujahid Khan.
