The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 40-year-old Shaun Sanchez following an extensive investigation into allegations that he sexually abused two former elementary school students while employed as a teacher at Dayton Elementary School. Update:The investigation began in February 2026 after a former student reported that Sanchez had sexually abused him while he was an elementary school student. Based on the totality of the evidence developed during the investigation, detectives established probable cause to seek an arrest warrant.
