The telestroke robot features a front-facing camera that will allow neurologists to conduct real-time consultations with stroke patients and their families virtually. Morris said Saint Alphonsus provided the robot to Blue Mountain Hospital in exchange for using its neurology consultation services. A team of professionals from Saint Alphonsus traveled to John Day to train staff to use the robot. This may be just the first of many telehealth options at Blue Mountain Hospital.
