Anjaneya Tewari, Chandigarh : Seniors at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a vibrant “Jamming Session” this Thursday on 6th August to help freshers settle into campus life. The programme was spearheaded by Tavisha Jindal, a second year Information Technology student at UIET, along with a dedicated team of fellow seniors. “Starting out, it’s genuinely difficult to interact with people, especially seniors,” Jindal explained. Students who attended noted that the informal format made it incredibly easy to approach seniors and get a true feel for campus life outside the classroom. Encouraged by the high turnout and positive reception, the organizers plan to host similar community-building meetups throughout the academic year.
