(Photo: AFP)WASHINGTON, United States (AFP)—United States (US) President Donald Trump on Thursday made another attempt to curb birthright citizenship, signing an order targeting those who he said enter the country under the guise of tourism while actually intending to give birth. “They’ve taken birthright citizenship and they’ve made a joke out of it,” Trump told journalists in the Oval Office. The move “ensures that large numbers of people who wrongly (would) be getting birthright citizenship will no longer be eligible for those benefits,” Miller said. The 14th Amendment states: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”
