Eight Statia Students Leave for Studies in the NetherlandsEight students from Statia departed the island on Saturday, 1 August 2026, to continue their education in the Netherlands. The available support includes a monthly subsistence allowance of up to US$600, subject to the conditions established under the ordinance. Edris Bennett-Merkman, who is assigned to continued education, will remain in contact with students studying abroad and provide guidance where required. The Government of Statia congratulates the students and wishes them success as they begin their studies in the Netherlands.
