The collaboration between Freedom FC and Phoenix Rising will bring scouting opportunities, coaching resources and financial support to the region while helping reduce costs for families. According to Freedom FC, the partnership is designed to make year-round soccer more accessible for players throughout Yuma County. To gather community input, Freedom FC founder Gary Snyder is hosting a meeting at La Bodega 23 in San Luis on Monday, Aug. 10. Because the program is launching as a pilot initiative, Freedom FC officials say it will have the flexibility to evolve based on community needs. Freedom FC also announced that the first 50 players who register will have their Phoenix Rising development membership fees sponsored by the club, providing an additional incentive for families interested in joining the program.
