ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Officials completed major upgrades at Rio Bravo Boulevard and Second Street, expanding Rio Bravo from four to six lanes and rebuilding the railroad tracks. Bernalillo County and city leaders celebrated the project Thursday at the Rio Bravo and Second Street intersection, one of Bernalillo County’s busiest corridors. Officials said crews expanded Rio Bravo in the area from four to six lanes. Officials also said crews reconstructed the railroad tracks at Second Street to make them quieter when trains pass through. “Literally tens of thousands of people use Rio Bravo every morning to get to work and every afternoon to get home,” Bernalillo County Commissioner Frank Baca said.
