Albuquerque Public Schools students return to class Thursday, but school leaders invited freshmen to campus Wednesday for the new program at Albuquerque High School. School leaders and upperclassmen volunteered to help ninth graders adjust to high school and learn about clubs, activities and athletics. Salazar, associate superintendent of leadership and learning, said Jump Start Day will happen at all Albuquerque Public Schools high schools.
