Comfortable humidity levels have made the past couple of days feel pleasant across the region, but that will soon come to an end. The increase in humidity is being driven by an approaching surface low, which will pull much more moisture into the region throughout the day Friday. As moisture continues to increase, so will the chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and evening. While Friday marks the return of a more humid pattern, the weekend is not shaping up to be a washout. Saturday and Sunday should feature plenty of dry weather and highs in the low 80s, with the better chances for showers and thunderstorms arriving during the evening and nighttime hours.
