(ABC 6 News) – A healthcare simulation hub at the Winona State-Rochester campus aims to help students build clinical skills before starting nursing careers. University staff are calling the space the Collaborative Healthcare Simulation Center. In addition to serving Winona State-Rochester, the simulation hubs also serve students at Rochester Community and Technical College and Winona State’s main campus in Winona. “They have that ability to make a mistake and learn from it,” Rowe Neal said. The addition of the simulation hub at Winona State-Rochester comes as Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota Rochester continue investing in expanding Rochester’s healthcare and education infrastructure downtown.
