The new art shows in India arrive just as the country eases into its most celebratory time of year. Bengaluru gallery KYNKYNY opens its doors at Horniman Circle in Mumbai, while the Jaipur Centre for Art showcases Salt Lines by artist duo Hylozoic/Desires, comprising Himali Singh Soin and David Soin Tappeser until August 9. Taking this idea further in his latest show, celebrated abstractionist Prabhakar Kolte presents paintings that intermingle with sound to create vibrant artworks. The artist believes that painting is a continuous process, and illustrates this through each drip of paint that takes form on his canvases.
