AdvertisementMore than 248 throw lines have been replaced since their installation, equating to an average of more than 3.5 throw lines every week. Each time a throw line is removed, vandalised or thrown into the river, a critical piece of emergency equipment is no longer available to help someone in danger. “These throw lines are lifesaving devices that could mean the difference between life and death for a friend, family member, neighbour, or even the person removing them. “Fermanagh and Omagh District Council continues to work with partner agencies to raise awareness of water safety and the importance of protecting emergency rescue equipment. Anyone who witnesses damage or theft of lifesaving equipment, or discovers a damaged or missing throw line, is asked to report it immediately to Fermanagh and Omagh District Council by contacting 0300 303 1777 or emailing info@fermanaghomagh.com
