Nearly 70% of Ukrainians support joining the EU, and over 60% of Ukrainians support joining NATO amid growing frustration with the government, according to a new survey by the Socis Center for Social Research released on Aug. 6. The survey, conducted between July 28 and Aug. 2, polled 2,000 Ukrainians about their views on the outlook of the war and attitudes towards the government. If a referendum for Ukraine to join the EU was held in the near future, only 22.2% of those polled would vote against it, survey results show. If a similar vote was held to join NATO, 29.5% of respondents said they would vote it down. Despite an optimistic views of Ukraine's potential future accessions, over half of the respondents, 55.6%, believe the embattled nation is moving in the wrong direction.
