Cultivating paddy rice is not a great idea in the United Kingdom due to its temperate climate. Preparing for rice cultivation in Britain involves adapting different and unique agricultural practices. While rice isn’t grown there, it is largely imported and consumed by the population. According to Farmer Sarah Taylor, whose land the rice was cultivated on, in Cambridgeshire, the crops in four small paddy fields are doing well. This experiment, in partnership with Sarah Taylor and her husband, Craig, is to see the foods that can be grown in Britain in the future.
